The artwork Murto is a composition of performance and sculpture. The listener is directed to listening and movements that are reminiscent of the Baltic Sea. Suddenly the sea takes over the concert hall at the Sibeliusmuseum! Just as it has taken over the concrete sculpture, designed according to the dimensions of the Swedish law book. The brass plate in the front of the sculpture evokes an oxidized memory of all the weapons dumped into the Baltic Sea after World War II. Through performance and sculpture, Murto exists in different weathers to approach the voice and rights of the Baltic sea. For performance press here.
